What is a Potable Water Tank?
A Potable water tank is used to store clean water for the purpose of consumption eg drinking water.
The word ‘potable’ is derived from the Latin word ‘potare’ which means ‘to drink’.
This means that potable water tanks are able to store water that can be drunk by humans.
To ensure their safety, these types of tanks must remain in-line with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and are monitored by the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS).
Before any tank is put onto the market for sale they have to be submitted to WRAS for testing, approval and accreditation. Once approved, the tank is given a certificate to confirm it is safe to use by the public.

This potable water storage tanks comes as a one piece tank with a bolted lid, smaller versions of these tanks are often used as a cold water header tank or loft water storage tanks, and can be used for both cold water tanks domestic and commercial uses.

This Range of Potable Water storage Tanks comes as a Two piece tank which is split halfway up the tanks height with a bolted lid
These tanks are ideal for access through doorways, these tanks come complete with all the sealer and bolted to be bolted together once in place.

These tanks can be assembled by our trained team, and can also be joint lined one assembled to become essentially a one piece tank.
