Float valve made of brass with a copper float and drop arm .
Ballcocks or Ball valves for water tanks allows water into the tank and shut of at a specific height required to act as an inlet valve on the tank.
the Ball float valve is usually fitted into the top side wall of a water tank or in a housing on top of the tank lid, with a screened overflow fitted on the tank at a lower level, the copper float shuts the ballcock off at a height that is lower thank the overflow this is called the actual water level.
Additional Drop arms are available to extend the reach of the ballcock to allow these inlet valves to be used in CAT5 backflow preventions systems such as Type AB Air Gaps on Boosted Water Tanks.
